"So afraid what people might say but that's okay cuz you're only human" - Nelly Furtado, Afraid
On Some Don't Tell Nobody Shit:
Okay, so Aubrey acts more stripper than pop star (and not some Xtina 'Dirrrty' stuff trying to make a point about sexuality. Aubrey is just kinda ho-ish) and I'm still not quite sure about Shannon's real vocal ability but damn, I'm kinda feelin' Danity Kane. Google hasn't heard of them yet and wants to name check them into 'Dainty Kane' but that "Showstopper" joint is kind of hot and I'm straight pissed off that "Sleep On It" isn't on the track listing for their upcoming joint (and we won't talk about the fact that I actually know what the track listing is). Aundrea and D.Woods have crazy chops and Dawn is much more solid than I expected her to be and Damn...Making the Band 3.
Bonus On the QT ish: I can't get Cassie's "Me & U" out of my head. Even if she was workin' on some down n' dirty trying to get on BET Uncut video before she got signed.
One of the reasons I quit amp'd mobile. I'm not a believer:
Downloading rates for music are less than what industry experts had hoped.
A study released Monday from Forrester Research shows only 6 percent of mobile phone subscribers download or stream music files once a week while only 3 percent of customers do the same with video services. That compares to 38 percent of customers who say they send a text or picture message.
DOPA is wack. This is economic prejudice on the real. When my family didn't have no dough, the only computer time I could get was in the library. If you lock down just about every place on the internet a kid wants to go, they won't be in the library anymore now will they?
I'm down with the Pro-Cure movement:
Whether you live in Greensboro or Green Bay, stem cell research affects all of us. By vetoing legislation that would expand federally funded stem cell research, Bush has earned the approval of the religious right but the resounding disapproval of the majority of Americans.
We're called the "pro-cure movement." We believe that saving a human being's life trumps saving embryos that fertility clinics usually discard anyway.

I love the Making The Band girls but find it suspicious that Diddy needs them to be all-around performers while Cassie and Cheri get to be kind of ho hum. I mean I know Cassie came pre-packaged from Tommy, but damn.
Speaking of Cassie, I've loved the melody of this song since first hearing it - but can she really sing? And her video is boring - even though I personally think she's pretty damn hot. Well that's what happens when you hook up with Tommy, I guess. I got the leak of the album and am not yet impressed.
On that mobile ish - it's quite interesting the manner in which we Americans use mobile phones compared with those in Japan, Korea, and the UK. For them it's much more part of the culture and for us its still a device.
And yeah, what you said, DOPA is wack!
I'm not sure Cassie can sing and I haven't seen the official video for the track, I just know the snap beat is hot and the melody is gorgeous on the track. It's been on repeat a lot in my car.
I was thinking today (and it may turn into a longer post) about why I am so willing to accept the pre-packaged-ness of Danity Kane. We know from every episode of the show this season that the ladies have had zero input in the music they've put together, in their style, in their dance, in really anything. They even said on ET on MTV that this is business for them.
It's not like confab bands are anything new but this is so bold-faced and on the nose. Why is it okay?
And the success of The Pussycat Dolls puts DK in position to be big time doesn't it? I think so.
everytime the beat drops on Cassie's track, I can't help but turn it up. I think her voice is average, but I cannot deny that she is hot.
She reminds me of a young Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls.
Which makes me think that maybe Aubrey is trying to compete as the Sex Kitten of Danity Kane? We all know Aundrea is the leader of that group. And yes, Show Stopper is hot - do you think it'll get real play time?
